Use of Boating Malta
Boating Malta (boatingmalta.com and the Boating Malta mobile apps) provides weather, sea-state and maritime reference information for general informational purposes only. By using the service, you accept these terms.
Navigation
The map, chart symbols, zones, routes and any navigation aids shown are not a navigational chart and must not be relied upon as the primary means of navigation. Always use official nautical charts and publications, monitor the official Notices to Mariners issued by Transport Malta, and exercise proper seamanship. Speed limits, restricted areas and other zones shown in the app are visual aids that may be incomplete, simplified or out of date, the official notices and on water markings always prevail.
Data source an accuracy
Weather and marine forecasts are produced from third-party meteorological models and may differ from actual conditions. Notices, zones and regulatory information are compiled from public sources including Transport Malta publications and the Malta Ranger Unit. While we work to keep the information current, no warranty is given as to its accuracy, completeness or timeliness.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boating Malta and its operators accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from the use of, or reliance on, the service including decisions made at sea. The skipper remains solely responsible for the safety of vessel, crew and passengers at all times.
Database Rights
The map data compilation (including hand-digitised zones, waypoints and navigational aids) is © Boating Malta and is protected as a database under Directive 96/9/EC. Extraction and/or re-utilisation of substantial parts of the compilation is prohibited without written permission.
